Zoë Ritts (Toronto / Kanien’kéha/Mohawk: Tkarón:to, 1990) is an architect based in Berlin. Her research focuses on urban spatial politics, explored through architectural design, writing, and teaching. In recent years her work has questioned the spatial politics of in/habitation, beyond speculative and privatized forms of dwelling. She is a founding / ongoing member of the Architektur-In-Residency e.V. program, and the research platform Questions on Dwelling. She has taught architectural design and theory courses at the Berlin International University, Technische Universität München, and Humboldt Universität Berlin. She has worked as an editor on publications for Sternberg Press and TASCHEN, contributed to magazines and journals including ARCH+, MONU, and CITY, and collaborates with cultural institutions including SAVVY Contemporary, Berlin, and the Canadian Centre for Architecture, Montréal.
